Our mission

Empowering youth to become future American leaders by promoting patriotism, leadership, civic responsibility, and community service, instilling the knowledge, discipline, and values needed to strengthen our nation and uphold the American spirit.

Adopted by the ALYP Board of Directors

01

Patriotism

Respect for country and the people who serve it, taught through ceremony, service, and example rather than slogans.

02

Leadership

Real responsibility in front of real people, so a young person learns to speak, decide, and carry the outcome.

03

Civic Responsibility

An understanding of how government, community, and citizenship actually work, and where a teenager fits in all three.

04

Community Service

Time given to neighbors without a scoreboard, which is where character stops being an idea and becomes a habit.

What we fund

Money out the door, by name.

ALYP does not build another youth program from scratch. We put money behind the ones that already work, run by adults who hold a line and hold it evenly. Last year that meant $16,761 across 13 programs and causes:

  • JROTC$4,500
  • Backpacks for students$1,500
  • USA Shooting$1,481
  • Boys State$1,200
  • Widefield HS Soccer Team$1,130
  • School supplies$1,000
  • Widefield & Mesa Ridge Robotics Teams$1,000
  • Widefield HS Track$1,000
  • Child Well Being Foundation$1,000
  • Fountain PD Toy Drive$1,000
  • School coats$750
  • Kids Halloween Party$700
  • EF Education Tour$500

The list is never closed. A program that fits the mission can always earn a line on it.

100%

Volunteer run, no paid staff

Where the money goes

Raised on a golf course. Spent on a generation.

ALYP is run entirely by volunteers. No paid staff, no office, no overhead standing between a donor and a kid.

The people at the registration table, on the tee boxes, and in the board meetings all work for free. Donated dollars buy backpacks, uniforms, team fees, and range time. They do not buy salaries.

The board votes on every grant by name and answers for it at the next meeting. That is the whole model, and it is why a small tournament moves real money.
